LuxCal (Linux) default private event

Filed under: Uncategorized — georgemck @ 6:26 pm

The OpenSource Calendar software LuxCal has a Public Calendar by default. If you forget to check the box to make an event private, then anyone can see your event on the calendar. To set the default for new calendar events to private, just modify one line of code.

Within the source files find: pages\eventform1.php

old line is:
echo “<pre>  </pre><input type=’checkbox’ name=’pri’ id=’pri’ value=’yes'{$checked}><label for=’pri’>{$xx[‘evt_private’]}</label>”;

new line is:
    echo “<pre>  </pre><input checked type=’checkbox’ name=’pri’ id=’pri’ value=’yes'{$checked}><label for=’pri’>{$xx[‘evt_private’]}</label>”;
